Michael Harold Meingast (1937-1983)
Michael worked at his father's company from 1959-1963. This photo was taken at the Black Clawson Kennedy factory in Owen Sound,
where Mike worked from 1963-1983. Mike was married to Carol and has two kids, Randy and Christine (third child, Michelle Ann, died in 1969). In the background is part of a pulp and paper machine, the main product manufactured by B.C.K. In fact, after a machine was completed, it was assembled and tested and this was an occasion for a public open house, so that Owen Sounders and employees and their families could see what the finished product of the company looked like. They were festive events with coffee and goodies served. The above photo was taken at one such open house c. 1980.
